Owned by the Toyota Group and with headquarters in Osaka, Japan, Daihatsu is one of the oldest remaining producers of internal combustion engines. They are also widely renowned for their smaller kei range and their off-road vehicles. The company was formed in 1951 as a replacement for the Hatsudoki Seizo Company dating from 1907 who manufactured engines powered by gasoline.
